Create community store to develop local economic

The indigenous community will convert to creating community enterprises to end hunger and create jobs and income in their own community. One of more than six hundred indigenous communities, Kor Dontey community in Kompong Speu Province initiative created a litter of store which sells daily demand goods to generate their income that leads by Sui youth. This creative idea began in February that was started building a store by their own team who live there and took two months in the process of building.
Mr. Khoeun Somreth, the Sui Indigenous youth representative who lead this small enterprise said that we took times to create this because we do need to create our own work in our community, and we neither work other provinces nor migrate to work to oversee. To develop community, it will start from our activities in the community how we can produce our own opportunities for our young generation. Moreover, we do need to promote our initial idea to develop our community, he said.
It was started up by Sui youth team in April 2017 that sold management by Ms. Nith Lida who a young girl has been operating for five months. According to the monthly income statement, I got more than a hundred dollar per month, Ms. Lida said. It is a happy job in this community because I am able to do something earn a profit for myself and our team, it does not hug profit; however, I prefer to do this. Also, we actively participate in social work, and we are the part of development to gathering local youth to involve social activities.

To the success of the operation, this team has the monthly discussion on how to manage goods, strategic, and report. Mr. Sompoy Chansophea, one of them who have been studying on small and medium enterprise said it is a wonderful time to us that we can start up from a small enterprise to promote local economic. Overall, a prior problem that we found in this community is an economic development that most of the communities cannot escape from globalization. Most of them faced with low earning of income that caused the community without health care and nutrition. To decrease of poverty in our local villagers is that our generation should involve actively in high-level education, and free them to create a new thing in the community, he added.
To summary, to smoothly operate this store needs a bit of capital to run it. To a good solution is they invest in a little money in each their member; therefore, they worth more than one thousand dollars for their first local enterprise operation.
